URGENT! Save us from the Galguerro!

I’ve appealed for help for these 2 dogs, but now a galguerro has found out they are healthy and wants to take them! It’s highly likely he will try and steal them.

They urgently need to be removed from Spain – can you help?

This is the message about them sent to me today.

They are in Parque Animal in Torremolinos, email contact “carmen” <info@parqueanimal.com>; if you email her, please say you are a friend of comdelrio.

The galga is young, well they both are, she is one and a half and the male one a little older, about 3. Both brindles. they were dumped in the perrera municipal and about to be sacrificed when Carmen took them out. They are now playful and healthy, the female a bit more so.

Now the hunter has got word that they are healthy and well and on the look out. Carmen can’t get them out of there. they are in the shelter (carmens) but it’s not ideal, Carmen does her best. Its probably a lot better than many a shelter.BUT she has emailed , saying that the hunter is looking for them, now he knows they were taken from the municipal… rotten guy hey!

Carmen tho doesn’t have to give them to him on adoption, but then, if he sent someone else, she hasn’t time to do house visits.

Anyway thats the story. What do you think? Poor babies. So young and already mistreated and twice in the shelter.

MUNICIPAL AID FOR PARQUE ANIMAL
Pressure from parents leads to longer opening hours

By David Eade

Torremolinos Town Hall is to grant 21,634 euros to the animal rescue service Parque Animal, based in the municipality. The money is being allocated on a number of conditions, including that the charity undertakes at least four collections of stray animals each month. For its part, Parque Animal will make a full report to the local authority on the number of animals rescued and their circumstances as well as the total number of those re-homed, as well as those still living at the refuge or put down.

Parque Animal has for the past 10 years dedicated itself to rescuing the abandoned cats and dogs of the town of Torremolinos. Last year it opened an animal refuge in the municipality. In the past decade the non-profit making organisation has rescued 840 cats and dogs of which more than 640 have been adopted by new owners. Eighty of the animals have been returned to their owners and 70 have had to be put down due to severe illness or injuries

PLEASE can someone help!
