DeGalgos is another hard-working association, based in Barcelona. There are two sad stories on their website. The first one is about an adopted galgo which has been stolen – can you imagine the poor dog. Rescued from a life of hell, adopted through the association, and now stolen, probably by gitanos. Sadly, this story is all too familiar for the galgos adopted in Spain.
The second story is about Estefania. Look at the wound on her hind quarters. She had been grabbed by youngsters and dragged behind a car. The wound was full of maggots. Luckily she is on the road to recovery and now looking for her forever home.
If you can adopt one of the beautiful galgos on the website, please contact the association direct.
I use Spanishdict.com for translation, it seems much better than babelfish or google.
