Puntanimals – galga with huge tumour
From Puntanimals
‘This is what we deal with every day. Sick dogs who have never been through a vet in their life like Lotto, who has to recover from his anemia to be operated on for mastitis.
Terrified puppies who are terrified to see us, like these two little ones, knowing what they’ve had to go through in their short lives. They, like the 100+ dogs we have in our care, are very important to us, let’s get their lives changed.’

Polar – lookalike for adoption – with Protectora Scooby
From Cobie at Protectora ScoobyThis handsome guy is eight years old and we picked him up in not very good health conditions. We are sure that, receiving the necessary care, he will soon be recovered and ready to give lots of love to whoever wants to share his life with him. Chip… 9618

Protectora Scooby Palencia – skeletal galgos on the street
From Protectora Scooby Palencia7 greyhounds and a mastiff in deplorable conditions in Villalobón.
Do you remember that not long ago Spain approved a law for the protection of pet animals in which hunting dogs are excluded because hunters do not mistreat them!
The story begins with a phone call. Someone had seen some animals in a deplorable condition in a village of Palencia, again greyhounds as not, and a subsequent call from the Givil guard asking us for help to rescue them because they were very bad and needed immediate help.
There we went, the vision was deplorable, some skeletal animals, totally full of parasites internally and externally.
Please, to help them we need you to help us, become Teamer or make a donation that by the way are deductible.

Galgos Rescue Almeria – new galgos babies arrive
Video
A couple of days ago Galga Seca gave birth to her little ones. Unfortunately, the fourth Puppy, Quattro, was stillborn.
Mama licked it but she noticed it wasn’t breathing and put it aside. We have tried to bring him to life, but to no avail.
After Quattro, 4 more puppies saw the light of day. Mama Seca did a great job and is tired from all the effort.Would you like to become a virtual godmother or godfather? This is possible from € 10 via direct debit or € 60 (6 Month) or € 120 (12 months) mail to “ Galgosrescuealmeria@gmail.com “.

From a volunteer in a shelter to running a shelter
Back in 2007 when I first travelled to Spain with L’Europe des Levriers to bring rescued galgos and podencos back to our French home for foster and adoption, Galgo News was started. One of the first people to contact me for help in publicising galgos in shelters was Tina Solera, then a volunteer who discovered an injured galgo needing help. It’s been interesting to follow the work of Tina since then with her association Galgos del Sol, to the shelter she now presides over. See the video on this weblink.
