  • Scooby team to the rescue again

From Cobie at Scooby Residencia Valladolid.’A long awaited rescue!
And that is that this galguita has been abandoned for six months (with the suffering and the dangers that it entailed for her) in Medina del Campo.

But on 7th August, finally, after many days of trying, our colleagues achieved to catch her. An enormous happiness invaded all the people of Scooby (who had been doing the routine and the follow-up for months) when they saw that the little one entered in trap cage and the door closed behind her. Now thanks to the great Scooby team this beautiful and sweet girl is already safe.

We have fallen in love with her as soon as we saw her, and you? We are sure that too.

In order to continue saving lives, we need your help and you can do it with just € 1 a month by joining our teaming group: http://bit.ly/2teaming

  • Ann’s Canine Care – helping the galgos in need

    Ann Marie Payne 400 26 7 2019
I have the utmost admiration for the volunteers in Spain who work tirelessly to help the abandoned hounds – never able to turn a blind eye to an appeal to help one, no matter the cost to them. Ann Maria Payne is just such a lady, please read this story and support her.

’26/7 2019 – It’s 4am and I’ve been here an hour trying to write this post after receiving this in messenger.

Hi Ann Marie, There is a man who has a 6-year-old gauge and they tell me they want to kill her. It has micro chip. Would you have room for her? or is it not possible? You tell me when you can. Thank you.

I want to reply to her and say ” Tell that bastard that he will be held accountable if he kills this dog, because it does have a chip” But the sad fact is that they are never held accountable because they have the ways and the means of making the dogs just disappear. They are utterly heartless. And given the fact that there is no protection for these Galgos as pets. What’s to stop them?

A Scooby galgo as a special guest at the wedding of his adoptants. Beautiful.

‘Have you seen such a beautiful bridesmaid? Her human dad got married a few days ago and of course, she couldn’t miss it on such a noted and important day.

Two years ago Scar was abandoned by her owner because she was no longer worth racing in races. Now lives in Bilbao with a wonderful family who respects her and wants as she deserves. Congratulations to the newlyweds and thank you for making us get this magnificent picture.’

  • Young Galgo Langui – with Dogs of Portugal waiting for his forever home

    Dogs of Portugal Langui 400 7 2019
Name: Langui, Gender: M, Breed: Spanish galgo, Age: d-o-b: 22 January 2019, dewormed, vaccinated

Langui was discarded by the breeder when he was a puppy because someone stepped on his front right leg when he was just born, maybe even the mother, and the leg was broken. It grew together immediately, puppies heal in no time but he slightly limps. He has grown since and this limping is hardly visible and does not affect him at all. He runs, plays, jumps and nothing aches him. He has been seen by the vets and Xrays were done and he is good as he is. No surgery necessary.

As he was discarded by the breeder, he was taken over by someone who wanted to save him and for a few months he lived with her and her dogs. In an apartment. He walked on the leash on the streets. He is a dog used to live in a home, with other dogs and walk on the leash.

He is super friendly, very affectionate and he gets easily attached to people. Such a lovely galgo boy.

  • Galgo Zac with Scooby – hoping for a forever home

    Scooby black galgo 400 10 7 2019
It’s sad that black dogs are the last to get adopted because when in good condition, their gleaming shiny black coats are stunning. I don’t think any other colour shines like black. Imagine this boy with a gorgeous colourful galgo collar…he’s with Cobie at Scooby in Valladolid.

‘Have you ever seen a more gorgeous, black galgo than this one? That´s almost impossible…This is Zar and he was in the perrera municipal from Valladolid but now he is safe in the Scooby residencia. Three years young and super sweet and affectionate!’

Contact Scooby if you can offer him a home and a place in your heart forever.
