El Refugio de Brown in Badajoz, Extramadura – desperately needing help – donations, fosters, adoptions
A desperate appeal from Lidia Martinez of El Refugio de Brown in Badajoz, Extramadura, a terrible region for hunting dogs.
‘I introduce myself I am Lidia Martinez and I am a teamer and collaborator of El Refugio de Brown in Zafra Badajoz, her situation is very hard, there are only two people managing more than 100 animals, at a cost monthly of € 2,000 or more in veterinary and residency expenses. They do not have their own premises, as the city council evicted them from its facilities and also residencia, where we take many animals from the perreras from Extremadura and Andalucia.
Please we ask you to value the possibility of being part of these groups with all support, since all help is fundamental and donations and help is desperately needed.
I leave you the link to their website so you can know them a little more and the links of their two groups.

Galgos Tickles and Jet make good recoveries – with Galgos del Sol
Two amazing galgos, horrendously injured after the bloody galgueros chucked them out.
Tickles the puppy is a survivor who was abandoned with two broken legs and left starving to death. By the time she came to us she was in shock with a low temperature. Her back leg was operated on and is thriving but the front leg is more complicated and likely won’t be operated as there is no op to help it. However shes still not using it all the time so decisions still need to be made. We are hoping she will get more comfortable with it with physio.
From being paralysed after being run over, galgo Jet decided he has things to do

Galgo Moro – turning a badly injured galgo into a stunning Black Prince
From Sandy at Galgos Rescue Almeria.
‘On 11 February, this boy, Moro, was freed from his predicament. This boy was so battered, damaged both physically and mentally, and yet he still had the strength to fight. Now barely two months later, we see a very different Moro.
This boy has become a beautiful black pearl. This was possible thanks to your support, help, compassion….. and in particular our host family. Thank you fosterers Raymond Faber & Ilse for the good care and for fighting together.

From Galgos 112 – a message to the Spanish Galgueros & Politicians
A message for Galgueros and Politicians from Galgos 112 after betraying the Spanish hunting dogs that they are not protected by the new law.Look into their eyes, especially you inept politicians who have left them lying around and abandoned like cigarette butts.
To the Galgueros we tell them not to even approach them, to ask these soulless sub-human beings to look into the eyes of the dogs that they mistreat so much and would cause yet more pain to the poor dogs by their abandonment.
