A point to note; WSPA are supporting this, yet they abandoned the cause of the galgos back in 2002/2003 and, according to the latest response I received from them, they have no plans to take the matter up again.

UK Campaign to ban betting on dogs and greyhound racing
Last Monday after months of planning between LUSH and greyhound protection groups the ‘Don’t Bet On It’ campaign launched itself into UK High Streets and Shopping Malls and UK shoppers were greeted with this message nationwide. At midday on 18th October 2010 the campaign went live online and LUSH issued hundreds of press releases to the national media and at long last a major UK company endorsed our cause and were prepared to promote and support the campaign to end the betting on dogs and commercial greyhound racing.

Greyhound Industry in Freefall – galgo hunting and racing next?
