In brief, the lady who started this rescue shelter in Romania has died and there is notice to quit the land in June 2012. There is obviously a very cruel attitude to stray dogs in Romaina – they are picked up in appalling condition and shut in without food and water in the pound and just left to die. There is a chance to buy land and the person who is trying to raise the money to keep the shelter open – Carla McBride in Manchester – has been involved for 5 years.
