Galgos 112 Kina and Prodeanse Maika – help the galgos, beat the galgueros
Two sickening stories of maltreatment to galgos. Kina needs your support, was picked up by association ADAM, Animal Protection Association of Marchena, who say ‘Kina had been shot in the shoulder, has multiple injuries and after diagnosis has broken femur, humerus and hip – suspected dragged behind a car ‘training’ galgos. The galgo is a beautiful tiger brindle, only a year old’. Because of the seriousness of his injuries, ADAM asked Galgos 112 to take over his care and rehabilitation. Read about it here and to donate to vet costs.
Maika is another one of those angels who fall into the hands of galguero hicks, say Prodeanse.

Saving galgos and podencos in Seville – Macu, Argos, Galgos 112
Macu lives in Seville and works tirelessly to rescue galgos and podencos from a gypsy settlement. Here are the latest ones, for which she needs help, both financial and adoptions. She says that soon life in the settlement for the dogs will be hell, as temperatures in the summer heat will reach 50 degrees and those dogs kept inside buildings will surely die. This galgo puppy was left at the settlement. Macu has saved her and has her in a kennels for the time being.
To contact and donate to Macu by Paypal or donate to the associations which have taken the dogs, via their weblinks

Toledo galga – safe and treated.
Good news for a change. This is the Toleda galga, blind. Now named Grace and in foster care, she had a bad case of conjunctivitis. You can see how well it is clearing up, with treatment. Isn’t she an absolute beauty! If you want to apply to adopt her, contact one of the two rescue associations direct.

Update on Toledo galga – Galgo Leku or Galgos 112?
Below is an update on the Toledo galga with the eye problem, which was posted on my Save the Galgo page on Facebook. I am uncertain from the translation whether Galgos 112 or Galgo Leku have taken the galga (I think Galgos 112 but there is no news of her on their website) but, either way, she is with an organisation which will ensure she has veterinary treatment.
Many of you ask for updates on what happens to the appeals I post on Galgo News and this is an illustration of how difficult it is for me, if the associations who take the dogs do not themselves send me news.
