Galgo Claus is just turned 6 years old, he is a loving white galgo who gets along with cats and children, he is calm and loves cuddles.He has been living on one floor for several years, but one of his children has developed an immune disease that greatly affects his fur, and he has to change direction. He behaves great at home and can handle his needs.He is super healthy, up to date and sterilized. He knows very well what a shelter is and doesn’t deserve to go back there, we will find his family among everyone.Write to us at 627781133 -
Galgo Batman hoping for a forever home
BATMAN – Small in size, black and white, with the sweet face of a puppy, Batman is a gentle, sensitive, and very kind galgo. The shelter is far too difficult an environment for him. Being small and delicate, he struggles in such an intense and competitive setting. He needs to leave as soon as possible and find a calm, protected home where he can live peacefully, relax, and feel safe.
Like many male galgos, Batman is affectionate, tender, and forms a deep bond with people. He is also good with other dogs. Batman needs peace, love… and a real chance.

70 hunting dogs desperately needing to move to shelters
Yet another sad example of the horrors endured by Spain’s hunting dogs because there is no law to protect them.
The 6 month old puppies arrived from Alentejo this week. They were brought to Tiny Shelter by the very kind Municipal vet of Alentejo, herself. They are lovely dogs and clearly so excited to be in a new place …away from the CHAOTIC AWFUL PLACE where they lived…
All have small cuts and sores, proof that they had to fight for food , but apart from that, they are lovely ,happy, GRATEFUL puppies, excitedly smelling and investigating everything. He immediately vaccinated them , gave them very good puppy food and toys. These are some of the lucky ones, already removed … close to 20 have been removed…there are 50 left! (more…) -

Abandoned Spanish galga desperately needs help
The sad fate of hundreds of galgos now that hunting in Spain has finished for the season. Hopefully someone will help this sweet soul.
This is JARA, she’s six years old and desperately needs a foster home. She was abandoned on a road and taken to Elda protectora (perrera), but she risks being put to sleep. The magic of a Spanish Galgo

They might be tall, lean, and built for the speed of the wind, but their spirits are as gentle as a summer breeze. Greyhounds prove that angels come in elegant, leggy packages, often found curled up on a soft sofa instead of racing across the sky.

Urgent. Who has got a spot. This poor 10-year-old Galga is sitting in the Seville perrera. It is cold and wet. No place for such a sensitive old dog
She served her master well for all those years, bred goodness knows how many babies, and this is the thanks she gets!

Even on Sundays, the rescue centre never rests. When the phone rings, we often already know what time it is. Once again, a call for help. A small galgo girl… no longer wanted. Discarded. Thanked for her work, then cast aside as if she no longer had any worth.
Our GRA van left immediately, as it so often does, heading to the agreed location. There she stood. Small and unsure. Her eyes said it all: she had had enough. Years of obedience, running until her body could no longer cope, enduring humiliations she never deserved. And yet, when we approached her gently, her tail gave a tiny wag. A spark of trust… despite everything. For this little girl, a new adventure begins today. (more…)
