Driving in Spain?

Calgoinjury
This is Luz. She was wandering the streets of Jaen, hard to catch. Despite trying to catch her in many ways, including tranquillizers, the way she was finally caught was by being knocked down.

She didn’t deserve this, after so long in the cold; hungry, thirsty, suffering rejection from humans, until she was finally knocked down and left.

Her front leg is badly fractured, and her hind paw on the same side, the bone is broken. It is hoped that the ligaments have not been damaged.

However, if they are damaged, and the two legs are on the same side, then she will need a lot of help.

If she recovers, she will need a forever home.

Thank you, on behalf of Luz,

VERO

The bravery and compassion of the volunteers in Spain is incredible. They really are unsung heroes, where would all these poor galgos be without the volunteers. They deserve all the help they can get.

    Hi Joanna
Did you try emailing the contact?
I’ll ask Charl, who forwarded the story to me.
The problem I have about finding out what happens to most of the dogs mentioned on Galgo News is that the volunteers are so overwhelmed with abandoned and injured dogs that they do not have the time to send details on about what happens to them. I only sometimes manage to find out by looking at galgo rescue websites.

    Hi Joanna,
Luz was transported to Madrid and is in care at ANAA. If she will survive she has a fostering place in germany.
She was operated several times and is very weak, so that a transport is not possible right now. Please mention her in your prayers (to your favourite deity) or simply send some good thoughts to her.

    Bonjour Dominic
It is wonderful to have news of Luz and the care she is receiving and to know she is in such safe hands.
It is just such a shame that the poor galga was not caught before having such a terrible accident. She would not have had to suffer so.
Please let us know how she progresses, we will all say prayers for a good recovery for her.
