Oh, God, where are you now?

Matilda is now in the safe hands of Greyhounds Rescue Holland

What did she do wrong to be abandoned in this condition – apart from being born a galga in Spain.

15 June 2008 update: 17 June 2008 Oh god, where are you now?

This is Matilda. She is the most seriously malnourished galgo to have been found in Sevilla and neighbourhood. Still terrible young, approximately 1 year old.

Volunteers at a shelter put down food and water for a cocker spaniel which was roaming free and, what happened. In stumbled the walking skeleton of Matilda.

She shivered and trembled, more dead than living, she ran to the scraps and water. Matilda has a skin sickness and it will last months before she can be vaccinated. She has a fever, for which she is receiving medicine. From her teeth she has eaten stones and debris

At the current time Matilda is the third galgo who has arrived at the shelter in such piteous circumstances. At the moment she is hanging onto life.

Why do galguerros continue to maltreat galgos???
