Meet Venus, a happy rehoming story.
Marisa Pérez, a volunteer with El Refugio Escuela who rescued my little Malaguena Podenca Andaluz, Bebe, from a Seville motorway, has been fostering this beautiful white galga. Marisa tells the story:
‘I found her just before the moment she was crossing the motorway and when I called her she started moving her tail so happy and came to me as knowing she was being saved. She weighed hardly 15 kilos when I carried her to my car. (On average a galgo weighs double that!)
When we got home I could really see the horrible state of her hair, her skin and all the bones I could see under it and her broken leg.
She worked hard in learning how to enjoy life, how to play, how to trust and now she is totally recovered and ready to travel to her real home.
She is travelling tomorrow from Malaga to Holland where her new family will be waiting for her. It´s wonderful because she is even more beautiful inside than outside.
It´s another sad story with happy ending.’
