Galga Kenia update – fighting a monstrous cancer growth

Here’s the latest news about Kenia.

Kenia is in the residence taking the treatment for Erlichia. Her plaquets are still low and she can´t be operated at the moment but the situation is urgent due to the inflamation of the cancer. Kenia is in the dog shelter. We pay for the dogs who need treatment twice a day or more. Teresa hopes that the next blood test gives us better results.

We are looking for a foster home but there´s no offer for her. Please contact the association urgently if you can help foster Kenia.

This is the translation about Kenia from El Refugio Escuela. Please watch the video, and help the refuge heal this galga.

Kenya, we are here. Kenya, we are here

Where to begin? Yes, it’s clear, thank you, your love and solidarity have made Kenya a galga loved by so many good people. For the first time in her life, Kenya hears the sound of voices and feels nice under the caress.

Now, for a while, you can stop reading, just look, listen and put a beat to the rhythm of the heart of Kenya: (watch the video)

After visiting the veterinary clinic, we know that in addition to the tumour, Kenya suffers a pyometra so there are two operations she will have to undergo. But we have to wait because the vet has diagnosed Ehrlichia. We’re giving medication and when she improves, which we hyope will be in a fortnight or so, she will be operated on to have the terrible dragging tumour removed. Once recovered, back to the operating room, this time to begin a new life and happy.

Kenya is not a young galga, her body battered, forced to give birth without rest, her face and her skin a pencil drawing plenty of scars, we put her between 6 and 7 years of age living a life in hell.

And despite all trusts. Trust embraces, in the caresses, kisses, in words … and lets us do it. Gentle Kenya.

We need to get her to be happy but we need you. You know, there are many who pass through El Refugio-Escuela operations and treatments needed, and you always help. Please, now, for Kenya and for those to come later …

Thank you.
