This rescued galgo Teo is having a hard time coping emotionally since he was rescued. He is very scared and hides from people, and so there is an urgent plea for someone with experience of coping with traumatised galgos to offer him a foster and/or adoption home. He’s in Alicante at the moment.

UPDATE
The International appeals network which is now alive is amazing – I can already report that a foster home has been found for him, where he can be treated for his anaemia and other problems.

Do so hope someone can help this poor boy asap. Having lived with a badly traumatised galgo I know how he must be suffering….my heart goes out to him.

Good news, hes got to a foster home now. But
as you will know, he needs a lot of care, both mentally and physically, as he is
a walking skeleton and has a couple of medical problems.
Thanks as ever for your support.

That’s absolutely wonderful news!! Hope it’s not long before he regains his health – looking forward to updates on him in the future!

Hi Jenny
I will do my best to get updates, sometimes it is a
little difficult. I am still trying to get updates on Kenia, the bitch
with the open cancerous tumour, and the 3 puppies. The 3 puppies are
adopted, Kenia is in foster care, but I havent been able to find out more about
how she is going on.
Problem is that the volunteers and the refuges are
just so pulled out with abandoned animals…………..
Maybe you could find out from El Refugio Escuela
about her -m she is in foster with someone called Aurora – Marisa at the
associations speaks fantastic English.

Great News Mo. Hard to believe how a dog can
be allowed to get in such a terrible state, but you will tell us that it is an
all-too common sight in Spain, with your vast experience.

TEO is with me since saturday but not very well, he has a horrible neumonia, unfortunatly not detected before and is fighting for his life. he was 1 day in the clinc but was nervous and unhappy there. he is now in my house, in the guestroom, sleeping on the bed, eating well and no fever anymore but he is still weak and we hope he responds well to the antibiotics. a lovely shy dog, he must have gone through hell before.
keep fingers and paws crossed for our brindle boy!
