Update on Sofie – galga kicked in the mouth

Sofie second operation 250 This is the latest news on Sofie, the abandoned galga who was viciously kicked in the mouth. She had a second operation yesterday.

Silvia reports ‘Sofie is little bit better, the vet is feeding her intravenously through the neck, there is no other way. Her mouth is much better, the tongue has changed in two days and is not now bleeding. The jaw has necrosis but not so much as the vet thought, it is in the vascularizada ( I hope you understand I don’t know the word in english) zone and it regenerates very well. The infection is better also.’

Fight on, brave galga, and thank you Silvia and the team for saving her.

Donations towards the vets fees to Telma of Galgo Rescue or Silvia direct.

I still cant believe someone would have it in them to kick an innocent galga in the face like this. I am truely disgusted!
Do we know how much has been raised and if it was enough?

    Hi Tina
Hopefully Telma or Silvia will let us know, but the treatment is ongoing so it will be very expensive; I would guess over 1,000 euros at least.
    Thanks for caring.
By the way, hubby and I decided that wed like to get the man who did this, take him bound and gagged to the Sahara, kick him in the mouth, break his arms and legs, make sure he has not got a mobile phone, and abandon him!
So far hes got to survive the great white shark off San Francisco, and now this!

    Beryl,
I agree with what you’d like to do to this monster who did this to that poor beautiful dog! I hate people more and more every day!

    Hi Valerie
Before my gran died, she told me “always to take care of animals, they never let you down like people do”. More and more I relate to what she told me.

I really do feel disapointed Beryl. We are supposed to be civilised. I do not understand why someone would find this entertaining to do.

    Hi Tina
What was done to this poor galga makes ones blood boil! Such unnecessary pain and suffering to an innocent creature. Your gran was right – just take care of the animals, they dont let you down. But being a Libran, I like things fair, so he who causes cruelty and pain should suffer the same himself.
At the end of the day, were all singing from the same songsheet, to help the abandoned and maltreated animals – in Spain in this instance.
    Bless you for caring.

    Hi
The only people worth loving are the people who care about animals and little children – I believe – the innocents of this world who suffer horrendously through the maltreatment of man – and often women too.
Thanks, as always, for caring. Did you send your emails to the hunting federations?
