Podencos to the UK – Adopt only through a recognised association!

News is coming out about some podencos being sent to the UK for adoption – this is not being done through any recognised association, there is little backup if a homing does not work out and, even worse, ‘adopters’ are allowing their podencos off lead shortly after the dogs arrive! This is terrible news, for the dogs and for the ‘adopters’ – please, everyone, do not adopt a podenco from anyone other than a recognised rescue and rehoming association. Because of these irresponsible actions, podencos are going to end up in shelters in the UK, and possibly get the breed a bad name.
