CONFIRMED – prison sentence for the man who beat his galgo to death. Six months in prison and a 2 year ban from any activity or profession involving animals including hunting was the sentence confirmed by the court in Toledo for the man who killed his galgo by repeatedly hitting him in the head with a cobble stone. After the appeal the court confirmed the prison sentence and ban from the date of 10th JUne 2015. The Association for the Protection Adoption and Defense of Animals in Toledo (APADAT) celebrated this decision and informed the Hunting Federation so that they could revoke any hunting licenses which the man may still hold. They also are continuing to fight for a lifetime ban so that this man may never again be involved in any activity involving animals
