TORERO AND GALGO ABUSER!
A DISGUSTING COMBINATION
‘The galgos that you see in the pics belong to the Portuguese bullfigther Joao Moura, who was arrested a few days ago by the authorities of his country for an alleged case of animal abuse.
Joao Moura, apart from being bullfighter and killing bulls, breeds competition galgos, which as seen in the images had them in a totally unhealthy place and some of them presented a severe state of malnutrition.
What will the galgueros have to say about this? Of course, they may not see any kind of abuse here…
Bullfighters proclaim themselves lovers of bulls, hunters lovers of animals and nature and galgueros lovers of galgos.
“Nice” way to love that some people have.

We received insider information that he must have far over 200 Galgos and will try to contact the local authorities to find out what happened to all his other animals as he has horses too.
Joao Moura is a very wealthy man and has bought hounds for extremely high prices. One year one if his hounds won the famous Kings Cup. He is the typpical rich guy who wants to get attention, no matter what it costs him. This time his Galgos and Greyhounds paid the price and sadly one of the 18 confiscated dogs died during the transport to safety.
When arrested, he declared that he had not mistreated the hounds. These people think that not beating them is no abusing them but this kind of severe neglect is also abuse.
He could face 2 years of jail and a big fine but we hope he will be not allowed to keep or deal with animals.
The report of the malnourished dogs had been made anonymously and could possibly have been an insider job as the dogs are not visible from outside of the toreros’ estate.
Update: from the people who take care of 9 of the hounds:
“Update galgos: we already have the results of the blood tests. They all present alterations in terms of liver and kidneys and they all have anemia. Fortunately none of them has leishmaniose or heart worm. Most of them have some kind of tick fever, ehrlichia or babesia or both. But those are treatable. So fingers crossed. They are eating and wagging their tails. Thank you for your support.”
