This morning we said goodbye to my beautiful Spanish galga Carmela. Rescued from a perrera, she enriched our lives for 11 years. Suffering from dementia and other problems, her body finally gave up. She was 15 so she did well. She will now be reunited with her pals Sahara, Floyd and Pollypuss in the shade of the trees next to the meadow. RIP Carmela.
With her housemate Sahara, also rescued from a perrera by Cristina, Vice President of L’Europe des Levriers, the French association with whom I worked as a team member from 2007.
