‘This dog has been lost for a week or so by Talarrubias… Must belong to a Rehala by the brand (H). Surely it’s from someone who has gone hunting in Talarrubias (that’s Badajoz, Extramadura, a hell hole for hunting dogs) or surrounding areas and they have stayed there without realizing it, but the poor is in the bones and needs help, although when you call him he comes out running like a soul carrying the devil. I don’t think it will last much longer without eating… Thank you.’
NB A rehala is where hunting hounds are kept and hired out to galgueros
