Unfortunately Protectora Scooby no longer have their volunteer posting their English blog. So I have copied their December newsletter and I’ll be publishing installments over the courts of the next couple of weeks. Here’s No 1 from Fermin.
Thank you very much to everyone who has helped Scooby over the last year. We are grateful to those who donated in aid of our rescue and rehabilitation work; offered a permanent or foster home to one of our dogs or cats; worked as a volunteer with our animals; and have raised funds in their community and amongst friends. We are thankful to the lawyers who have helped us prepare for cruelty cases going to court. Thanks are also due to a small number of volunteer, support groups to home dogs and cats in
Spain and internationally. This is crucial for the animals, the adopters and our shelter. Without adoptions
making kennel space, we cannot rescue more animals.
Above all I would like to thank the small team of Scooby staff for their dedication to the Scooby animals. Tirelessly they pick up abandoned animals, treat them in the clinic, work on their rehabilitation, clean their quarters, prepare their food, administer their medication, run to get information about their characteristics for adoption enquiries, and prepare the adoption and export documents. For such a small team, they really do move mountains and help us to punch above our weight. I would like to take this opportunity to thank staff and supporters alike for contributing to our work. We could not do it without you.
