A story recently published tells of a podenco on a beach with its owner in Northern France. Some fireworks were let off and the podenco ran into the sea and swam off. It was wearing one of these trackers. The owner says the GPS signal was lost for about an hour, then reappeared to report that the dog had swum out to an island and was on rocks waiting to be rescued! She got a local boat owner to take her out to the Island to rescue her dog.
So here’s a link to Traktive, the tracker this lady used. I shall be purchasing one for my podenca Rosie for when we go out on riverbank and beach walks, as she’s still so nervous she’d probably run off if there were any loud bangs.
