From a barren piece of land to a safe haven…
Almost 10 years ago, the doors of Galgos Rescue Almería opened to dogs who had nowhere else to turn. Dogs who were hungry, injured, abused, or simply discarded. Dogs who had lost everything except the hope of a better future.
When we purchased the land, it was nothing more than an empty plot. Step by step, brick by brick, that dream grew into the rescue centre it is today. Thanks to your incredible support, we have built new kennels, a safe area for puppies, large play areas, shaded spaces, a fully renovated intake area, and so much more.
If you visit our rescue today, it is almost unrecognisable compared to what it looked like nine years ago. Together, we can be incredibly proud of what we have achieved.
