Galgos Rescue Almeria – saving the galgos for 10 years
From a barren piece of land to a safe haven…Almost 10 years ago, the doors of Galgos Rescue Almería opened to dogs who had nowhere else to turn. Dogs who were hungry, injured, abused, or simply discarded. Dogs who had lost everything except the hope of a better future. When we purchased the land, it was nothing more than an empty plot. Step by step, brick by brick, that dream grew into the rescue centre it is today. Thanks to your incredible support, we have built new kennels, a safe area for puppies, large play areas, shaded spaces, a fully renovated intake area, and so much more.If you visit our rescue today, it is almost unrecognisable compared to what it looked like nine years ago. Together, we can be incredibly proud of what we have achieved. -
Starving and injured – rescued and safe with Asociacion Somos Galgos
This little girl is Galena. It means “healer” and we chose it so that her name gives her strength. We rescued her with a rescuer knowing she was going to be in very bad condition, but when we saw that what was on her face was not a simple wound but a gunshot… we had to act fast. We’ve taken her to the emergency room: we’ve been confirmed that the hole in her face is a gunshot, plus she has a huge loss of blood, dehydration, severe malnutrition, a pulmonary enphysema and pneumonia. For now they can’t operate it because they don’t think it’s past the anesthesia. Let’s start with antibiotics and wound cleanings. You know how this goes, we are not leaving the little one no way but we need help paying the bills….If you want to adopt contact via: https://linktr.ee/somos_galgosBizum: Code ONG 01979Transfer: La Caixa ES89 2100 4991 6622 0027 0343.Join here: www.teaming.net/somosgalgosEvery gesture counts.
