  • Finding the right home for a rescue dog

    Often the history of a rescue dog is unknown. The dog’s character needs to be assessed by the staff in the kennels or by a fosterer to ensure that the right home is found, both for the dogs but also the right dog for the adoptant.     Protectora Scooby have sent out a very interesting Christmas newsletter by email. As it is a Word document and I have to use Notepad for my posts on my blogs, here is a resume here for you all.

    In 2021 they rescued around 700 dogs and homed 500 with adopters in Europe. They are also receiving more adoption enquiries now from families in Spin,, many enquiring about the smaller breeds and cross breeds so quite a welcome change in attitude to pet ownership in Spain.

    The Scooby Foundation was launched which means they can appeal for company sponsorship. So it puts the chance of dog or cat food, medicinal supplies o building materials at a better price within their reach. The monthly bill for animal medicines along is 5,000 euros.

    Animal Rescue Spain is asking for donations.

    Christmas Day he was saved, so we called him Santa. He is a galgo who a bloody galguero has tried to hang. Santa is a fighter who broke the rope and escaped with the rope around his neck. Santa was still strangling himself, but some wonderful women have managed to free him.

    Santa arrived with fear of the human being, he will never forget that they tried to kill him, but we will heal his physical wounds, he is already on pain medication and antibiotics.

    Help us with a donation if you can, we don’t stop rescuing abandoned animals and we need you.
