  • Maltreated in Murcia

Galgo pup broken leg 250 22 10 2012This young galgo is only 6 months old and already knows the bloody brutality of man. • Summer in Spain – overworked volunteers struggling to cope

Rescate salamera y timon 001 250More horror for the Spanish volunteers – more galgos needing help. Carmen tells the story.

‘On 24th August, Salamera and his son Timon were rescued, sadly we haven’t found the other puppy. They were in a very dangerous place and we had to enlist the help of an expert in catching the galgos. We’ve managed to get them to a house, after paying the ransom to take the dogs! They both need attention by the vet.

And whilst we had rescued them, another one on the street desperately needing help, yet more vet fees. (young grey galgo)

This is a strain on our resources, the 3 galgos need vaccines, blood tests and vet treatment.’
