    Candle for Vulcano 200Please today, think of brave Vulcano who will suffer unspeakable torture, pain, terror at the hands of screaming bloodlusters driving spears into his body from horseback – in the Toro de la Vega – despite tens of thousands of Spaniards marching to protest about it. One protester entered the bullring at Merida. See photos below of buses in Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Albacete to mention just 4 cities calling on people to go to Madrid on 14 September to join the march. Organised by PACMA.

  • Bullfighting – the daggers are out in Murcia!

    Galgos and podencos are my main canine passion, but I try and publicise other aspects of animal cruelty in Spain – where ‘tradition’ is a word used as an excuse. Here is a link to an article published in the Weekly Telegraph this week, in respect of a couple of English ladies who supported their Spanish friends ina protest at a bullfight in Ricote, Murcia. They are out again this weekend at a larger protest in Murcia city.
