    Malaga perrera El Paraiso 2 250 1 2012This is the harsh reality for dogs dumped in the municipal and private perreras – killing stations. It’s any dog which suffers like this, not just the galgos. But for the galgos, it’s simply that hunting is drawing to a close and the galgueros are dumping their dogs. These dogs are/were in the perrera El Paraiso at Malaga (some have already been killed). Vera describes.

  • Galga Gaby finds her forever home

    LALI Tina Solera 250 Among the galgos rescued in Murcia at the end of the winter 2010 hunting season was a brindle bitch, living rough in a series of pipes. Tina Solera set out to catch her, but that was easier said than done. Over two weeks went by, the galga evading capture until one day she was spotted sharing a pizza with a little girl. Tina gave a collar and leash to the girl, who got the collar over the galga’s head, and at last she could be taken to the refuge.
