This is Cascabel, one of the Jerez galgos, after 12 days of veterinary care with Silvia of GalgoConnectionSpain in Valencial Here’s what Silvia says. ‘This dog came twelve days ago, the ulcers infected, dehydrated, malnourished, we thought he was going to die but, after some days of feeding him intravenously, he started to eat one his own. He’s gained three kilos.’ Silvia says there are problems with all of the Jerez galgos. Many of the perreras don’t feed the dogs much,’why feed a dog you’re going to kill’! Rufo & Ken, two galgos with Galgo Connection Spain – seeking their forever homes
This little chap has been named Rufo. He was found abandoned, suffering from a serious eye infection which rendered him blind. He was rescued and taken into the caring hands of Silvia of Galgo Connection Spain. His eye infection has been treated, his eyes are much improved – as you can see from these photos – although he is still receiving medication to clear the infection completely. Now he needs his forever home.

Update on Galgo Ken in Valencia – needing a very special home
You remember brave Ken, the galgo hit from behind by a motor vehicle, rescued by Galgos del Sol and now with Galgo Connection Spain in Valencia. Silvia’s vet and the team are helping rebuild his body and he is now mobile with his personal wheelchair!
Here is the latest news about him from Silvia.
‘Now we take him to rehabilitation, he has more muscles in the back side, something is confused because he moves the tail and the legs but has not sensibility, the vet is looking if he gets better with the rehab.
