Leah is a gorgeous galguita, a little shy at first but as soon as you are with her a little while, she loses her fear and comes to be caressed. She is quiet and obedient, walks by your side, likes other dogs but is nervous in the beginning. Galga Salva, burnt with acid – Galgos del Norte update
You remember the story of Salva, the galga found in the perrera in Burgos, burned with acid, rescued by Galgos del Norte. Sadly she lost her fight for life. This is a translation from their website.
‘Salva has left us, dehydration from the burns affected all her internal organs and she not been able to continue fighting.

Burned with Acid – dumped in the Burgos perrera!
A while ago, animal volunteers in Burgos area, which I have travelled through and is a mass of half finished apartment blocks and huge cranes – a building site – heard that it is difficult to adopt out of the Burgos perrera. Immense ignorance, lack of information, lack of compliance with the law, the carelessness…. on 9th November this galga arrived, starving, normal for a dog abandoned on the street.

The diagnosis of the vet, words cannot describe her suffering – BURNED by acid…. and this dog was just left in the kennels in the municipal kennels without treatment.
