This story is sadly an illustration of the contempt which many of the male law enforcement people have with animals – they treat them as trash. Not just Spain but throughout Europe and Asia – and also at the moment with Ireland!

Greyhounds to China – more letters of protest needed – please join the campaign
Please would all our national and international supporters now contact the ‘ISPCA’ (the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and ask them to mobilise all their supporters to join this vital campaign to protect our greyhounds. Other leading animal welfare organisations are also backing the worldwide campaign to stop Irish Greyhounds being exported to China. We need every voice!

Chinese DO eat dogs and cats, including Irish greyhounds if we don’t STOP IT!
This interesting information was in a comment today on Galgo News, which explains the horrors awaiting Irish and UK greyhounds exported to China. Darrell Leathen explains.
‘I am an Australian greyhound trainer and am appalled at irish g/racing for even contemplating exporting dogs to china, they kill and consume over 2 million cats/dogs per annum… they equate eating dog to an american eating a hotdog, someone ought to inform them they are made from lips and cheeks.. this cannot be allowed to happen and i will proposition greyhound racing victoria to speak with greyhound racing ireland to stop this abhorent exercise…we do not eat our mates/ BAN THIS PRACTICE’
