  • Join the Demonstration in Strasbourg, 9th June 2012 – for the galgos

    A Demonstration has been organised for 9th June, 2012 in Strasbourg in front of the European Parliament. Meet at 2pm (1400) to march for 1 1/2 hours to protest about the maltreatment of galgos and podencos by the Spanish hunters. Bring your hounds too, if possible. It is hoped that as many associations and individuals will come in large numbers to gain maximum publicity.

    Where possible, car sharing transport could be arranged.

  • Petition the Spanish Government – abused galgos and podencos in Spain

    Galgos in cage 230 Bulletin des Levriers In partnership with Urgence-animaux, le Bulletin Des Lévriers has launched a new worldwide petition to ask for the ban of hunting with Spanish Greyhounds (Galgos) in Spain. In 2009, we sent the 20.000 signatures which we had we collected thanks to Care2 to the Spanish Minister of the Environment. Let’s mobilize again to show the Spanish government that people around the World do not give-up on abused Sighthounds in Spain and that ill-treatments, very real, of Galgos and Podencos in Spain has to stop.   • Galga Roma, another victim of injury on Spain’s roads

    Roma Barbara Lefranc 04 2011 250 This beauty is Roma, a gentle galga, as they all are, who was found abandoned and injured in Cuenca, probably a victim of a road accident. Barbara LeFranc of Le Bulletin des Levriers tells her story.

    ‘As we all know, in Spain there are many injured and dead dogs by the roadside, victims of road traffic accidents, where most people treat them as they would a gnat squashed on their windscreen. This is known around the world.
