Earlier in the year I published links to the weblog of Nano Calvo, a truly exceptional photographer who adopted a galgo and wrote his story, Hounding Misery. Nano has now written the final chapter of the story of his galgo, and you can read it here. If you want to read the full story of Hounding Misery, you will find the links to each chapter at the bottom of the page.

The fourth and final part of Hounding Misery by Nano Calvo. As always, stunning photos and plenty of food for thought.

Hounding Misery part 3 – Nano Calvo
Here is the third part of the articles written by Nano Calvo. Link here for part 2 and part 1 . A couple of points – running dogs from motor vehicles is again law in Andalucia – the Junta voted to reinstate it in 2011. The trainer also displays the arrogance of the hunting and racing fraternity – the unwanted dogs will be adopted in other countries! Still these people refuse to deal with the issue of overbreeding and mass abandonment. Beautiful photos by Nano Calvo.

Spain – hunters – galgos – read what a Spaniard has to say.
It’s always encouraging when the Spanish speak out against the galgueros. I was sent this link – by le Bulletin des Levriers – to a very interesting article about the galgueros, written by a Spaniard and translated into English. Here is a link to the third article – interesting photos but not yet translated. I’ve asked for the link to the first article as I have not been able to find it.
