Exposed! Greyhound Racing US style
Appalling that the ‘industry’ can inflict such blatant cruelty without fear of prosecution!! Watch the video here.
Only comfort is that a few US racetracks have now been closed down.

5 young galgos to be killed – are there any associations which can take them?
I hate these bloody galgueros who say to a volunteer…take my galgo or I will kill it/take it to a perrera.
They are bastards plahying on people’s emotions when they have none! This is an appeal for 5 galgos (1 male, 4 female) to get them to a place of safety…the galguero has already taken a 6th to a perrera.Caroline Albessart writes. ‘With a Spanish friend, we are trying to save galgos which are still in the hands of their galguero. They gave us a few days to find an association (or more than one) to save them. We are looking for association to add to a group where we will share the different galgos we are trying to save. They give us little time.
None will be fed properly, none will be healed if necessary, none will survive this month if no association comes to help them.
The Galgeros care so little about their fate, they send pictures where they barely see them. You wonder if they want them to be put down.

Introducing the Scooby Monthly Club
We all know what amazing work the Scooby Protectora does in saving and rehoming hundreds of animals every year, mostly dogs. And they still have the 36 horses/foals they rescued in 2016 which are the subject of a court Case. To help raise funds to feed and medicate all the animals, they have formed the Scooby Monthly Club. You can read about it on this link.

Bonfire night and fireworks – terrified greyhounds at UK racetracks!
Greyhounds have been racing this weekend at every track in the UK. Greyhounds are in fact dogs.It doesn’t surprise us but it may surprise some people. People seem to think greyhounds are not dogs but running machines .Greyhounds are one of the most gentle sensitive dogs out there. On bonfire weekend 4/5 November they will be absolutely Petrified.
For those of you that have dogs at home that are scared of fireworks, you will know how distressing it is to see them so scared and not being able to help .Greyhounds that race not only have to run while fireworks are going off but they are kept in the holding kennels at the tracks or on the vans so there is no getting away from the noise of the fireworks.
The racing industry bangs on about how much the dogs welfare matters. So you would think just one weekend a year they would do the right thing by them .Please don’t bet on dog racing. It’s a cruel self regulated industry. YOU BET THEY DIE .

The Hellhole Blood Bank is to Close! Victory!
In September I asked you to sign and share a PETA petition to close a bloodbank in Texas where greyhounds were suffering unacceptable cruelty.
Breaking News from PETA.
Under pressure from PETA and people like you, it was announced on 27/10/2017 that The Pet Blood Bank, Inc., in Texas will transfer the dogs at the blood farm into adoption programs and that the business will close. At last, the dogs can get the care that they deserve as well as an opportunity to play, sleep soundly on a sofa, and go for walks.
At The Pet Blood Bank, about 150 greyhounds were exploited as nothing more than living blood bags. An eyewitness found these dogs, who were farmed for their blood, neurotically spinning in circles, jumping up and down, crying out, and hiding in jagged old chemical tanks that served as their only shelter. Many suffered from severe dental issues, infections, and sores and had no opportunity to do anything natural or remotely joyful.

Galgo Suri for adoption
Introducing SURI, a 9 months old Male Galgo
Little Suri was picked up by Almohadillas Felices in May 2017 together with Oso a GSD mastin also only 3 months old. At the age of 3 months Suri was living in a horse stable tied down at his front leg and fought to get loose, that is why he had injured himself. He had an operation immediately and his damaged leg and ligaments have fully recovered.
He is in the care of Marcella, who says, ‘Now look at him! He only get more gorgeous and magnificent by the day. This boy is absolutely stunning in every way. Happy, super affectionate with all creatures. Suri is such a funny boy too, our dream is that we find him a loving wonderful home. Please help us by sharing to groups, to friends and to family so that that special family will see him and fall in love.
