I’ve received information about 3 stunning black galgos which have been sent to Dogs of Portugal association from a shelter in Spain – I have asked why. They are gorgeous hounds, click on the links below to read about them and see their pix. If you can offer one a forever home, please contact Dogs of Portugal direct.

On this link, you can write to the Irish Prime Minister to protest about the horrendous idea of sending Irish greyhounds to China. Please sign and share widely.
I have to say I have never been a fan of Cesar Milan every since I saw one of his TV programmes where he advocated using one of the metal spike collars on a dog…by people who had no experience as dog owners previously. (I believe these collars have been banned in the UK). This video was first shown last March.
Unbelievable! A few years ago we protested and stopped the Irish sending greyhounds to China. Now Australia have stopped sending theirs, the bloody Irish are at it again. Please sign and share widely.
A moving piece of prose, so true.
I’m weary and I am lonely and,I am so afraid.
Please don’t pass me by, will you come to my aid?
It’s hard to understand why I was thrown on to the street
Left alone in the middle of nowhere with nothing around to eat.
I wasn’t given a reason for being wanted no more
I was left alone and abandoned. Now what was all that for?
I never did any naughty things, of that I am so sure.
I never barked or ruined things. I even gave my paw.
So why do human’s feelings change? I’m trying to see why
They would throw a good dog out like me, Oh my. Oh my. Oh my.
