  • Asociacion The Animals Home, Linares – badly injured and traumatized galga needs vet funding

Just in this week, heartbreaking – warning, very upsetting photos

    Asociacion The Animals Home

‘So we just picked up this galga in the municipal area of the Station – Linares – Baeza.
A very serious case of animal abuse, it has the whole back in live flesh and in the first X-ray we have done, they have detected the femur completely separated from the body. Looks as thought she was hit by a vehicle and dragged along the road.

Right now she is stabilizing and they are going to do all the healing to see the severity of the damage. It is going to take a long time for the physical damage to heal, as well as the emotional ones.

  • The hardest part of having a dog

    RIP candle 350
This week I had a message from a lovely lady whose Mum adopted a little podenco X from me 13 years ago. After a wonderful life in a loving home he developed cancer and has sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. RIP Bobby.

R.M. Drake from the book ‘ Dog People’

“What’s the hardest part about having a dog?” they asked, their tone casual, like it was just another question.

The hardest part about loving a dog is knowing that one day, you’ll have to say goodbye. From the moment they come into your life, you know their time is limited, but you push that thought away, pretending the day will never come. You invest your heart in them, share the quiet mornings, the playful afternoons, the long walks that seem endless. They become more than just a part of your life—they become a part of you.
