Can You Help Care for Galga Sienna’s Pups at Pepis Dog Refuge?
I posted a few days ago about Pepis Dog Refuge, Seville. Latest news from Susan Dawson, who is working to raise funds to help them. For those of you who so kindly wanted to donate to help, you can do so via this link as well as via Paypal.
Galga Sienna gave birth to 9 pups this week. Sienna was recently found tied up cruelly with twine outside Pepis with another white galgo Lasso. It was evident that she was expecting pups, the vet advised it was too late to abort the litter as she was so close to giving birth.

Galga mama and babies in Hellin perrera, Albacete – anyone room?
Many times my heart breaks with the appeals and stories I receive each day…this is another of those times. With tears in my eyes for what this poor galga has suffered in the condition she was in.
A galga in Hellin killing station, Albacete, with 4 new born puppies. They were in the hands of some gitanos (Spanish gypsies) who threw stones at her. If they don’t get out of the perrera before they are killed, they will die in there from cold or disease. Please someone help Ari and her babies.

Cheap Accommodation in the Canary Islands – food and drinks not included
We tend to forget, sometimes, that the Canary Islands are also a part of Spain. Podencos are the main hunting dogs there and they suffer just as much as the galgos on mainland Spain. Here are two stories about podencos on Tenerife. If you or anyone you know are going on holiday to the Canary Islands, there are details of the animal rescue associations on this page.

Scooby Medina – a video
When viewing this film, please remember that all these animals have been rescued, all these dogs need forever homes. Please consider taking your holiday as a working holiday at Scooby Medina and helping with the animals. And it costs a lot of money to feed and care for these animals and restore them to good health.
