Galgo News is 1 year old! How time flies when you’re immersed in a project! It was actually yesterday to the date, 28/11/2007, but I was so involved with another rescue of galgos from Spain to France (how many more can France adopt?) that I didn’t have time to say ‘Happy Birthday Galgo News’ until last night, when we did pause to raise a glass and drink to another year of working with galgo and podenco rescue associations and Spanish refuges and volunteers to publicise the plight of these fantastic dogs, and work towards persuading the Spanish to introduce laws to ban hunting with these dogs, and control and limit their indiscriminate breeding, maltreatment and abandonment.

Congratulations Beryl, you’ve really done a great job with Galgo News, its really grown into a place for everyone interested in Galgo Welfare. There is still a long way to go but there is a better future for the Galgo.
