Greyhound Racing in Jamaica? The Prime Minister says ‘No’

I’ve just received a letter from Mr Bruce Golding, Prime Minister of Jamaica, advising that ‘The Government has received no request or proposed for and is not considering the granting of permission for the introduction of greyhound racing’.

This is good news for the organisers of the campaign to prevent the introduction of greyhound racing on the island.

Thanks for the really super news! I am over the moon about it, and emailed congratulations to our friends at The Animal House in Jamaica. Many thanks to everyone who helped with the international campaign and the organisers. Every bit really helped, and please accept my thanks for highlighting the issue.

TypePadAgree it is excellent news. I’d like to hear from anyone else who received a similar letter, and great to the people at The Animal House – they made a difference.
