The Pedro Munoz refuge at Ciudad Real, 200km south of Madrid, has requested everyone’s urgent help to trace 4 dogs which were taken from the refuge by Mme Becker of the association ‘4 Pattes Oubliees’.
This is not the first time that I have heard negative stories about this refuge.
The 4 dogs which need to be traced were taken by Mme Becker a few months ago; the refuge was told adoptions had been arranged. Pedro Munoz have sent numerous emails requesting information about the adoptants, with no response. The refuge only has one address of an adoptant, and when they checked with the person, they were told the bitch was not there.
The refuge is fearful that they are with bad families, abandone in the street or some refuge where they will be euthanaised. The latter was already carried out on 3 dogs taken to Belgium by this association earlier in the year! (I received the story but it was in Spanish and I couldn’t get a sensible translation!)

In the meantime NO ONE should deal with this association.
I have it on extremely good authority that, during the main heat of the Spanish summer during June, July and August, this woman was allegedly transporting dogs out of Spain in a van which was not air conditioned. When stopped at the border, some dogs were already dead!
Loli from Ciudad Animal Pedro Munoz refuge will be immensley grateful for any news about these dogs.
I would also add my own comment that it is because of stupid people like this woman, and whoever helps her, that Belgium proposed bringing in a law in October that no dogs could be imported into the country. She doesn’t care a hoot about the dogs, it seems to me, she’s just out to make money – and the poor dogs will have already suffered enough before the reached the loving care of the volunteers at Pedro Munoz refuge.
Can anyone confirm to me that the law is now official?
