I have received the following appeal on behalf of Karmela for the dogs in Mairena perrera, condemned to be starved for 3 weeks before being euthanaised. If anyone can support her, please do. With donations, she can put the dogs into kennels so they can have their EU passport prepared.

I friend and I cannot intervene because we have another 10 dogs in pension taken(brought) out of this hell and we have difficulty in gathering(combining) funds(collections) to buckle(curl) their repatriations!

The hunters starve their dogs because the men think
it makes the dogs hunt better. WRONG!
The dog pounds and killing stations dont feed the
dogs, why should they spend money feeding dogs which are going to be
killed.
These Spanish people who do this are
inhuman.

Breaks my heart! I think the younger generations are slowly changing attitudes regarding galgos but still there is such a long way to go. When will things start changing here for animals?

Were all trying to help you, believe me, Tina. There are so many more people now around the world who are aware of what goes on in Spain.
Educating the youngers generations that maltreatment of animals is not allowed is one of the primary actions; I know some of the larger associations work at this.

Spain is one of the most popular tourist destinations, This country’s each and every region has something unique to offer the tourists. Spain is enjoyable any time of year. The climate here is the main reason for many tourists getting attracted to this destination.

You arent sending people to the REAL Spain, just mainly the tat in the south. Send them to Extramadura, Castela y Leon, Andalucia – put them in an hotel in Ciudad Real and hire them a car to visit the dog refuges and the gypsy camps! The bottom line is, you area company out to make money fromsending people on holiday to Spain. Why dont you go and work in a dog shelter for a week, do something with and for Spanish people who care for others, notsimply to make money for themselves.
So long as there is animal cruelty in Spain, we will all do what we legally can to hit theSpanish where it hurts – in their pocketsfilled by tourists.
And the thousands of people who read about the REAL Spain on Galgo Newsare already publicising it and boycotting Spain for holidays.
One day weWILL win, Spain will have to move into the modern world – and stop being a Third World Country – or a banana republic as one Spanish inhabitant calls it!
