Remember the pictures of Ciudad Animal Pedro Munoz refuge flooded out, and the volunteers trying to cope using buckets! They need 11,000 euros to install a pumping system and reconcrete all the pens and courtyard, so they can be hygienically cleaned.

‘Dear Telma and Beryl,
I am passing you the message of gratefulness and some pictures of happy dogs that Loli has passed to thank all the help for her refuge in Pedro Munoz.
But we also from Amigos de los Galgos, who work closely with this refuge, we would like to present our tribute of gratitude to Loli herself and to her loyal volunteer Irene, who are the two courageous women who fight every hour of every day to offer a better life for the dogs, at the expense of their families and personal lives.
They both have been the only ones working hard to take the water out of the refuge by buckets, putting the dogs in safety and giving them medical care for their colds and other illness originated by the high humidity left by floodings.
These two women are real heroes,
