Please read these two reports about the poor shelters in Spain, the ones which L’Europe des Levriers works with, who don’t get much publicity. They too suffered badly from the flooding in Spain.

The link doesn’t appear in English, just French. I was just thinking… if the Galgos received just a small fraction of the attention that other current disasters in the world are getting, how much awareness and help they’d receive. It is thanks to people like you, Beryl, that the word is getting out about the Galgos’ plight. I wish their story could be on the evening news…..

I agree with you about the comparison with other
world disasters – especially what annoys me is that the poor inhabitants of
places like Haiti and the African countries suffer because their leaders are so
damned corrupt that any money goes into their personal pockets, not for the good
of the people. And Spain is the same – so damned corrupt, all the way down
from the government to the local mayor!
Im doing my best, thanks for the kind words, and
with all you wonderful readers to help, we are at least sending messages to the
Spanish volunteers and associations that we are giving them all the support we
can.
