This urgent message is from Bea and Cristina, who work helping some of the poorest refuges in Spain.
‘The Spanish refuges are in total chaos. After San Anton in Cadiz and Pedro Munoz at Ciudad Real, it is with the turn of our refuges to be submerged by the floods. Far to poor to have a pumping system, the galgos are standing in water up to their chests.
Salamanga and Villa del Rio have nothing, they desperately need help from abroad.’
From a volunteer ‘In In Villa del Rio, Cordoba, I am desperate. It hasn’t stopped raining, we are trying to clear the water from the refuge with buckets, and still it rains. After days of doing this, my back is aching, it feels broken. Every day I remove the wet covers to put down dry ones. We have a failing pup… ”. Here, there are 75 galgos… Please help-us!
We need financial aid to buy material to pump water away. In addition, we need adopting and foster families for a dozen galgos to be able to leave this refuge of which: CONAN, ANGELINE, RUBIA, CHOCOLATE, MARENTE…’

Made another donation to G.R.I.N. and asked to have the money disbursed to the flooded shelters. Hope it helps a bit….
