    Hi
Yup, lets hope so. Hes being fostered in
northern Spain, and the fosterer wants him adopted near to her where she will be
    able to follow his progress.
    Good news, or bad news.
After the personal emails I get from people living
in Spain who have adopted a galgo, I personally dont think that is good
    news. Adoptants have

Damned computers! I hadnt finished my
    message!
Adoptants in Spain have told me stories of being
persecuted by gitanos, Spanish gypsies, when they walk their galgo. The
gitanos want to buy the dog, and the adoptant is afraid to go home in case the
gitanos follow them, and then steal the dog.
A debatable subject – good that Spaniards adopt
    galgos, or not?
Im sitting on the fence on this one.
    What do you all think?

Yes, Jenny, it is marvellous news.
Just so sickening that this is only one example of
what the galgueros do at the end of hunting.
Pictures of galgas and small puppies in a killing
station; tales of a volunteer in a killing station having to walk past a galga
giving birth because she had not the power nor the money behind her to save the
    galga and her puppies.
Spanish hunters and all the other hundreds of
thousands of Spaniards who will not sterilize and castrate their dogs, control
the breeding of galgos and podencos……………..
    Words fail me………………..they are not
    human

    Hello,
This is indeed a difficult on. I’m sure that if we ever have the pleasure of meeting that we could spend hours debating this.
Havea nice day & well done again for this site and all the awareness that you are raising through it.
    Best, Kate

    Bonjour
Thank you for your kind words, Kate. I am made so many wonderful friends through Galgo News that one day, when I have some money to be able to afford to do it, I intend to travel to a few of the places and visit them.
Hope you got the podenco puppies saved, let me know how it works out.
