Yet more cruelty to animals by the Spanish. I have been passionate about horses all my life, and still have two at my home in France.
Please take a moment to sign this petition and circulate it far and wide – wild horses in Galicia are driven down the mountains into a corral, wrestled to the ground, manes and tales cut, branded, mares and foals separated – I can hear the screams of the horses.

This is horrible! I know that I shouldn’t be shocked anymore but it never ceases to amaze me in a negative way what they think of as entertainment and tradition. It’s as if they haven’t evolved from the middle ages. It seems as if any kind of animal abuse is fair game. I have signed and sent the petition on – even if we can’t stpo this from happeneing this year, people have to be made aware of what is going on.
i’ve never heard of such barbaric acts and despise the practice in the strongest possible terms.

It beggars belief, doesnt it! I cant
imagine whats in the minds of the people who get pleasure from torturing
animals. And yet, more and more Spaniards are not against the use of
animals in fiestas, against bull fighting, and so on, because they are aware of
the terrible messages it sends out to the world about Spain.
We have to keep plugging away at trying to improve
the lot of all animals who suffer abuse at the hands of man.

This abuse in Spain is a new one to me. I
couldnt believe it when I received the information about it. The
petitioners are hoping for 1,000 signatures, I know mine was more than that
number, and Im sure there will be hundreds more added by now. The
Internet is such a powerful tool, I cant believe the Spanish government,
regional, provincial and municipal councils and hunters are not aware of the
strength on them from outside of Spain to change their whole attitude and
culture and stop the abuse of animals.
Well keep plugging away. Lots of small
voices for those who cant speak for themselves can make a very BIG voice
eventually!
