There has been a very active, informative and interesting debate on the post about petitioning against the building of a greyhound stadium in Logan, Queensland, Australia. One of the vociferous pro-greyhound people posting comments is Sue Burley.
She is, or was last year, an active member of the Australia Greyhound Data Team and this is one of her comments, and a link.
‘No need for another club with the Gold Coast having 3 tracks and racing 7 days a week, as long as we satisfy the Unitab agreement.
Not really any need for licencees either, a couple of hand picked contract trainers will suffice, maybe a couple of hand picked puppy farmers, no need for breeders in Queensland anymore.
I recall the same thing being bandied around about 15 or so years ago but that was the GRA putting it forward then, no need for them to go down that path again, it’s being done for them and this time they won’t get the blame.’
