Seville & Huelva – galgas on the streets – in danger…

Abandoned galgos and podencos everywhere, every year now it gets worse – there are thousands in the perreras already, due to be killed – or the galgueros say to volunteers, ‘take this dog or I will kill it’. How do the volunteers cope?!

She’s in a village in Huelva, she’s been there all summer. She had puppies which have disappeared – stolen, killed, who knows. She was very fearful but a person in the village has been feeding her and now it would be possible to catch her. But there is no where for her to go.

A kennel costs 3 euros/day; if someone will pay the kennel fees for now, then the volunteer will get her. The longer she stays on the street, especially in winter, the more danger she is in. She has had a blow to the head, she can’t be left on the street any longer!
