Update on Miel/Honey – galga left for dead in a ditch

Miel Honey at vet 200 7 11 2012Update 7 11 2012

Today Gloria visited Honey, she is continuing to make progress, slowly but surely. The wounds are healing, about 80% mobility is now recovered, but she needs to build up enough muscle mass to cover her bones. But she continues to move forward – she will get there. Bravo ‘Honey’ and curse the bastard that did this to you.

Excellent news! Shame on me for doubting for one second the validity of the rescue of a dog that was in such bad shape. Obviously, the volunteers know better than I do… Those people have my unending admiration for their courage and for the good that they do, despite incredible obstacles, financial and otherwise.

There have been other stories like this, I think before you ‘found’ the galgos. Put Esperanza into the search box and you will find the story of another galga brought back from virtual death, dumped for dead in a rubbish skip. The Spanish volunteers and vets are incredible people – well, apart from the vets who go into the killing stations and kill hundreds of dogs/week. Thanks for caring.
