Last week, 7 galgos sufficated in a trailer during a hunting match in Medina del Campo! How is this possible? How can they suffocate in a trailer? How?? Think about that! Do they put them there on top of each other or what? How these poor dogs have to suffer is incredible! One Spanish volunteer speaks for all of us saying ‘this demonstrates how to you, nasty galgueros, the life of these creatures has the minimum value. Go to hell!’
This is a note from an article on travelling dogs in trailers. I don’t think the galgueros have heard of this!
‘Safety regulations regarding animal transport are strict in Europ. They include laws regarding proper animal handling, regarding allowing the animal to have sufficient room and regarding making sure the animal is fed and watered regularly’
The above photo was taken at a garage in Malaga, Spain, September 2012. Typical of the trailers used in Spain and France for transporting hunting dogs!

I suppose the suffocating was an accident and the owner is an idiot… someone who had not thought on making some holes on that stupid container of his.
But I do not want to imagine, how it is for the dogs being transported in such trailers in the warm spring and the hot summer season when even animal rescues have transport problems because of the heat.
I do not think this was an isolated accident, I am sure that many galgos die in this way every year.
But of course most of them die in the perreras or in the back yards of their masters after these have no use of them anymore.
well if they dont care about the life of these galgos they ant going to bother about the way they transport them its disgusting them poor souls run free sweet babies
Pobrecitos perros!
Shameful.
