Crikey, I’ve just read the articles, especially this one http://www.greytexploitations.com/resources-and-reports/a-license-to-kill with its video. That’s a good idea, campaigning against betting on greyhounds.

I’ve looked at a lot of the forms from the GBGB regarding euthenising greyhounds and cannot find anywhere where it states they can be destroyed by other methods. To my knowledge all greyhounds must be PTS by a vet either at a registered track or by the owner/trainers own vet. So anyone using the captive bolt method will be violating the GBGB regulations; but the industry is self-regulated. As usual people are using the cheapest and easiest method to dispose of unwanted greyhounds! I have even heard of trainers beating greyhounds to death with a shovel. More needs to be done to bring these precious dogs under the protection of our animal welfare laws.
